This is a pricing summary for the client, not a detailed cost breakdown — build the underlying numbers with the free estimate template or in QuickEstimate first.

What Is a Contractor Proposal?
A contractor proposal is the client-facing document you send after pricing a job — a branded, professional presentation of your scope, price, and terms that the client actually reviews and signs. It's built from your estimate, but it isn't the same document: the estimate is your internal cost math, the proposal is what the client sees.
What Should a Construction Proposal Include?
At minimum, a solid proposal includes your company branding and contact details, the client's information, a clear project overview and scope of work, what's excluded, a pricing summary, payment terms, a rough timeline, general terms and conditions, and a place for the client to accept and sign.
Estimate vs Proposal
An estimate is the internal cost calculation — materials, labor, overhead, and margin — never seen directly by the client. A proposal is the client-facing document built from that estimate, presenting the scope and price in a polished format. Start with the free estimate template to work out your numbers, then use this proposal template to present them.
