How to Use This Contractor Estimate Template
Fill in your company and client details, describe the scope of work, and list your labor, material, and subcontractor costs by category. Add your markup or margin and any applicable tax to arrive at a total. When you're ready, click "Download PDF" to save a clean, professional PDF you can email to your client, or "Print" to print it for an in-person signature.

It has sections for materials (quantity × unit cost), labor (hours × rate), equipment (quantity × days × daily rate), subcontractors and permits, and it works out overhead, profit, markups, sales tax and the total price for you. Overhead is added to materials and labor, and profit is calculated as a true margin on the price, so a 20% margin really is 20% of what the client pays. Markup vs Profit Margin
