Here's how to set your overhead and profit margin, so every estimate pays for itself.
Open Settings, then Pricing and tax.
Overhead is what it costs to run your business. Rent, insurance, vehicles, and office time. Enter it as a percent.
Profit margin is the share of the client's price you keep. A twenty-two percent margin means twenty-two cents of every dollar is profit.
Not sure of your overhead? The free overhead calculator works it out from your monthly costs.
Every new estimate uses these numbers automatically. Overhead is added to materials and labor, then the price is set for your margin.
And the margin check turns green when the price protects your profit.
