    Editing and Resending a Proposal

Change the estimate behind a proposal and send the updated version to your client.

    Proposals Change

Clients ask for changes, and prices move. You can edit any proposal that has not been accepted.

Edits update the same proposal and link, so the client always sees the latest version.

    How to Edit and Resend

    1

    Open the estimate

Go to Estimates and click the Edit (pencil) icon on the row, or click Edit on the proposal page.

    2

    Make your changes

Move through the builder steps (Client, Description, Materials & Labor, Subcontractor, Equipments, Permits, Sales Information, Summary) and update what you need.

    3

    Save

Click Save Draft to save, or Generate Proposal to save and open the updated proposal.

    4

    Send it again

On the proposal page, click Send Proposal. Write a short message about what changed and click Send E-mail. Sending again starts a new validity period.

    Keeping the Original

To keep the original as it was, open the three-dot menu on the Estimates list and choose Duplicate Proposal (an independent copy), or Renew as Revision for a sent, viewed, expired, rejected or cancelled proposal (the original then moves to Archived). Then edit the copy.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit a proposal the client has accepted?

No. Once a client signs, the proposal is locked so the agreed price can't change. Duplicate it to start a new proposal.

Will my client see the old version?

No. The link always shows the current version of the proposal.

    Can I compare versions?

Not yet. Each proposal's History lists what happened and when, but there is no side-by-side comparison.

Proposal Revised and Ready to Go?

Edit, resend and track the update in one place.
