    Creating Estimates

    Managing Your Price Lists

Keep your materials, labor, equipment and subcontractor prices up to date so every estimate starts from real numbers.

Your Price Lists Do the Typing for You

Everything you add to an estimate comes from the price lists under the Management menu. Keep them current and every new estimate is accurate from the start.

    Where Each List Lives

    1

    Materials

    • Management → Materials, then Add Materials
    • Each material has a description, cost, division (category), an auto-generated SKU, an optional part number and an optional image
    • Have a long list? Use Bulk Material to upload a CSV or Excel file, and Download CSV to export your list
    2

    Group Materials

    • Management → Group Materials lets you save bundles of materials you often use together
    • Add a whole group to an estimate in one go
    3

    Labor

    • Management → Labor, then Add Labor
    • Each labor item has a name, job title and hourly rate, so you can set different rates for different roles
Find your true hourly cost first with our free employee cost calculator, so your labor rates include taxes and benefits.
    4

    Equipment and Subcontractors

    • Management → Rental Equipments: equipment name, model number, rate and description. On an estimate you enter the quantity and number of days
    • Management → Sub-Contractors: your subcontractor records and costs
    5

    Descriptions

    • Management → Descriptions stores reusable scope-of-work text
    • On an estimate's Description step, click Add Pre-Saved Description to insert one

    Keeping Prices Current

    Update Prices Regularly

    • Review material prices whenever a supplier changes pricing. Edit the item in Management → Materials
    • Changing a price in your list affects new estimates, not proposals you've already sent
    • Use Download CSV to review your whole list in a spreadsheet

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import materials from a spreadsheet?

Yes. On Management → Materials, use Bulk Material to upload a CSV or Excel file.

Do my team members see the same price lists?

Yes. Price lists belong to your company account, so everyone on your team uses the same prices (subject to their role permissions).

Can I add a one-off item while building an estimate?

Yes. Use + Add Material in the estimate's picker.
