Reuse What Works, File Away the Rest
When a new job looks like one you've quoted before, duplicate the old proposal instead of starting from scratch.
When a proposal is finished with, archive it. It stays in your account for your records.
Duplicating a Proposal
Go to Estimates
Click Estimates in the top menu and find the proposal. Use the search box or the status filter (including Archived) to narrow the list.
Open the three-dot menu
Click More actions (three dots) on the proposal's row and choose Duplicate Proposal. It works for a proposal in any status.
Find the copy
A new Draft appears in the list with the same title plus "(Copy N)". It has the same client, line items, prices, notes and settings as the original.
Edit and send
Click Edit on the copy to change the client, quantities or anything else, then generate and send it as usual.
The original proposal isn't changed. Its status, History and signature stay exactly as they were.
Archiving a Proposal
Open the three-dot menu
On the Estimates list, click More actions on the proposal's row.
Choose Archive
The status changes to Archived. The client can no longer approve or reject it.
Find archived proposals
Choose Archived in the status filter on the Estimates list. They also appear in the Lifecycle Report.
Renew as Revision
For a proposal that's Sent, Viewed, Expired, Rejected or Cancelled, Renew as Revision in the same menu does both in one step: it creates a new draft copy for you to edit and send, and archives the original.
